Roma Downey receives Honorary Degree

Actress and producer, Roma Downey, best-known for her role as Tess in the hit US TV series Touched by an Angel has been honoured during the University’s graduation ceremonies this month. She was conferred a Doctor of Fine Art (DFA) for her outstanding contribution to acting and philanthropy. Roma and her husband have recently launched the epic movie ‘Son of God’ following on from the success of the hit mini-series "The Bible" in which Roma acted and co-produced. A native of Derry, Roma was delighted to back in her hometown and witness the positive changes to the city.
